There are advantages and disadvantages with internet connectivity for bookmobiles.
The main advantage is to allow accessibility to patron accounts.
A disadvantage is the various type of connectivity creates it's own problem.
A satellite dish must be positioned perfectly and takes time to connect.
An air-card's provider does not always provide service to the area.
A dial-up modum's connection time is expensive.

When establishing mobile library services, you must determine your target audience.
Will your service be a mobile story collection for children?
Will your service be a cybermobile with only computers and no books?
Will your service only target seniors? or adults?
If your service is requested in a gated community, is the general public allowed?
